Given: Nₚ=100, Nₛ=200, and the input side at Vₚ=220 V, Iₚ=10 A.
The turns ratio steps the voltage up: Vₛ=Vₚ(Nₛ)/(Nₚ)=220×2=440 V.
Idea: an ideal transformer wastes no power, so VₚIₚ=VₛIₛ — raising the voltage must lower the current in the same proportion.
Iₛ=Iₚ(Nₚ)/(Nₛ)=10×(100)/(200)=5 A.
Check: VₛIₛ=440×5=2200 W, the same as VₚIₚ=220×10.
So the output current is 5.0 A.
