Answer: (2) 1.06 mA

Step-by-step solution

Given: r = 5.3×10⁻¹¹ m, v = 2.2×10⁶ m s⁻¹, e = 1.6×10⁻¹⁹ C.

Idea: the electron carries its charge e past any point of the orbit once per revolution, so I = e/T with T = (2π r)/v.

T = (2π(5.3×10⁻¹¹))/(2.2×10⁶) = 1.51×10⁻¹⁶ s.

I = (1.6×10⁻¹⁹)/(1.51×10⁻¹⁶) = 1.06×10⁻³ A.

So the current is 1.06 mA.
