Idea: R = (ρℓ)/A depends only on the material (its resistivity ρ, which depends on temperature) and on the dimensions ℓ and A.
Here the temperature and the dimensions are unchanged, so ρ, ℓ and A are unchanged.
Ohm's law V = IR then says the current rises only because V rises in proportion; the ratio V/I = R stays fixed.
So the resistance remains constant.
