Idea: 1/λ=R(1/(2²)-1/(n₂²)), so a higher starting level gives a larger energy gap and a shorter wavelength.
3→2: 1/λ=(5R)/(36), λ=(36)/(5R)=656 nm, the longest line (III).
The wavelengths then fall steadily: 4→2 is 486.1 nm (IV), 5→2 is 434.1 nm (II), 6→2 is 410.2 nm (I).
So A-III, B-IV, C-II, D-I.
