The magnetic flux through the loop increases according to the relation φB(t) = 10t² + 20t, where φB is in milliwebers and t is in seconds. The magnitude of current through R = 2 Ω resistor at t = 5 s is _____ mA.

Asked in JEE Main 27th July 2nd Shift 2021 · Induced current, heat and power

Answer: 60

Step-by-step solution

φ_B=10t²+20t in milliweber, so (dφ_B)/(dt)=(20t+20) mWb s⁻¹.

At t=5 s that is 120 mWb s⁻¹=0.12 V.

I=(0.12)/2=0.06 A =60 mA.
