Given: capacitance C, with Q standing for the dimension of charge.
Idea: C=Q/V and V=W/Q, so C=(Q²)/W -- charge squared per unit energy.
[W]=M¹L²T⁻².
So [C]=(Q²)/(M¹L²T⁻²)=M⁻¹L⁻²T²Q².
So capacitance has the dimensions M⁻¹L⁻²T²Q² -- the farad written with charge as a base dimension.
