Idea: count the humps. A full wave rectifier turns the negative half of every input cycle upwards instead of discarding it, so each input cycle delivers two pulses to the load.
Two pulses per input cycle means the output pattern repeats twice as often as the input: fₒᵤₜ=2fᵢₙ.
Here fᵢₙ=50 Hz, so fₒᵤₜ=2×50.
So the output ripple is at 100 Hz -- twice as easy for a filter to smooth as the 50 Hz ripple a half wave rectifier leaves behind.
