Idea: go back to the definition. Magnetisation is the net magnetic moment per unit volume, M=(mₙₑₜ)/V.
A magnetic moment is measured in A m² and a volume in m³.
So the unit of M is (A m²)/(m³)=A m⁻¹.
A useful cross-check: the magnetic intensity H has this same unit, which is what allows the two to be added in B=μ₀(H+M).
So the unit of magnetisation is A m⁻¹.
