Idea: heat waves is the everyday name for infrared radiation, so the question asks for the infrared band.
Infrared begins where the visible red ends, at about 700 nm, and runs out to where microwaves begin, at about 1 mm.
So the band is from 1 mm down to 700 nm.
It earns the name because these wavelengths match the vibrational and rotational modes of molecules, so an absorber warms up.
