Idea: a paramagnetic sample's magnetisation is a balance between the aligning energy μ B and the randomising thermal energy k_BT.
For μ B k_BT the fraction aligned goes as (μ B)/(k_BT).
Magnetisation is therefore proportional to B/T.
Since χ=M/H and H∝ B, the field cancels and χ∝1/T.
That is Curie's law, χ=C/T.
