Every body above absolute zero radiates, with a spectrum set by its temperature.
Wien's law puts the peak at λₘₐₓ=b/T with b=2.9×10⁻³ m K.
At a body temperature of about 310 K this gives λₘₐₓ≈9.4 μm,
which lies in the infrared.
That is why thermal imaging cameras work in the infrared band.
