Given: total surface area 6a²=24 m², so a²=4 m² and a=2 m.
Volume V=a³=8 m³.
For an isotropic solid the coefficients run α:2α:3α for length, area and volume, so γ=3α=1.5×10⁻³ °C⁻¹.
Δ V=γ VΔ T=(1.5×10⁻³)(8)(10)=0.12 m³.
0.12 m³=0.12×10⁶ cm³=1.2×10⁵ cm³.
