Given: φ=6.63 eV =6.63×1.6×10⁻¹⁹=1.06×10⁻¹⁸ J.
At threshold the photon energy just equals the work function: h u₀=φ.
u₀=(1.06×10⁻¹⁸)/(6.63×10⁻³⁴).
u₀=1.6×10¹⁵ Hz.
