The current in a purely inductive circuit is 5 sin(49π t-30°) A. If the inductance is 30 mH, the voltage across the inductor is [Letπ=(22)/7]

Asked in JEE Main 28th July 1st Shift 2022 · Behaviour of R, L and C separately

Answer: (4) 23.1 sin(49π t+60°)

Step-by-step solution

ω=49π=49×(22)/7=154 rad/s, so X_L=ω L=154×0.03=4.62 Ω.

V₀=I₀ X_L=5×4.62=23.1 V.

In an inductor the voltage leads the current by 90°: phase =-30°+90°=+60°.

V=23.1 sin(49π t+60°).
