Given: electrical potential V.
Idea: V is the work done per unit charge in bringing it from infinity, V=W/q.
[W]=M¹L²T⁻² and [q]=[It]=T¹A¹.
[V]=(M¹L²T⁻²)/(T¹A¹)=[M¹L²T⁻³A⁻¹].
Check by a second route: V=IR, and [R]=M¹L²T⁻³A⁻², so [V]=A¹×M¹L²T⁻³A⁻² -- the same.
So the dimensional formula of electrical potential is [M¹L²T⁻³A⁻¹].
