Idea: fix the band by its wavelength in metres, then compare with its neighbours in the spectrum.
X-rays lie between the ultraviolet and the gamma rays, from roughly 10⁻¹² m to 10⁻⁹ m.
Since 1 nm = 10⁻⁹ m, that is 0.001 nm to 1 nm.
The short (hard) end near 0.001 nm overlaps the gamma rays; the long (soft) end near 1 nm borders the far ultraviolet.
So the range is 0.001 nm to 1 nm.
